ABOUT OUR WOMENS PROGRAM
IT WAS ONLY NATURAL THAT WE ESTABLISH A WOMEN’S TEAM
With 5 junior teams and more than 125 girls playing at the Club, it was only natural that we establish a women’s team. This is an important initiative of the Club, having the full backing of both the junior and senior divisions.
The women’s team provides our players with a pathway from Auskick through juniors and on to seniors.
Supporting our women
As with our entire female program we want our womens program to be strong and successful. This requires careful planning and a commitment for all concerned.
Our number one priority has been to secure a suitable coach. We are therefore pleased to have one of the country’s leading female coaches, Leeann Gill, as our inaugural women’s coach.
We have also secured the support of the Blackburn South Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank as our principal sponsor.
