PRESENTATION NIGHT
The Club’s Best & Fairest was held in the fabulous new Club Social Rooms last Friday Night.
In what was a relatively low-key (social) event, due to a short planning timeline, players and volunteers enjoyed the chance to come together and reflect on what was a successful overall performance of our Senior Teams.
In partnership with the U19 Presentation that was held a few days beforehand, Team and Club Award winners were duly recognized for their on and off-field achievements, across another challenging (COVID19 impacted) season.
Our 2021 Ron Eade Medallist and Winner of the Men’s Senior B&F was Mackenzie Doreian, after a strong year. Macca, an ex – Blackburn Junior has been a standout for the Burners and is a much deserving and popular winner. Runner Up was the ever consistent and courageous Xavier Murphy.
In the Premier Women’s, Amelia Dawborn took the honors, followed by Serena Kuo as Runner Up. The team, led by Assistant Coach Dave Johns & Captain Renee Johns raised a well-deserved Premiership trophy and flag after a dominant, undefeated Season.
The Club has introduced a Perpetual award for the Reserves B&F, after Club games record holder Les “Mooch” Millar. This went to a well-deserving Lachy Bacon with Runner Up Lachy Bugeja
The Premier U19’s celebrated a Minor Premier Trophy, with Nathaniel Barnes taking out top B&F honors, with Runner Up being Connor Hinkley after another consistent year.
The Women’s Div. 3 were unlucky not to be awarded an end of the year trophy but celebrated Mia Chadwick taking away the Best & Fairest, followed by Natalie Demicoli in the R/U position
Our Div. 4 Under 19’s in their first year, took all before them and celebrated a Minor Premiership with Lachlan Pont taking out the B&F, with Ash Devers the Runner Up after a good season.
Our Masters Women B&F Winner was Michaela Hatters, with Janelle McCluskey Runner Up
Two new Life Members were inducted after 10 years of service and has made a significant contribution to the Club. Darren Adey, current Club Secretary was joined by Tom Cooper, the past player (166 games)
In addition to other team Coaches Awards, several important Club Awards were announced.

The Committee extends its appreciation to all Coaches, Match Day & Training staff, and our loyal and diligent volunteers for their efforts. We look forward to a big 2022 Season.
